Kim C
Black hair algae needs to be gone! Have bristlenoses, rubbernoses, and BEEG apple snail, but plants have short black hair algae. Look like they need a shave! Any suggestions other than pruning? (Chemicals not an option). Thanks kim
Poolboy
You need to get Amano shrimp (they love it) or Siamese Algae eaters (slowly dissapears with them). They also eat it. Also another sort of chemical option (it isn't really a chemical) is Excell by seachem. It is a carbon supliment for your plants and it kills BBA (Black bear algae) Poolboy
fishclubgirl
You could also move the light up.
Baos
I believe there have been a few references on planted aquarium sites to just letting black hair algae run it's course and it'll go away on it's own as excess nutrients settle down. I would imagine one of your levels is high.
