Cheers, Stu you mean the green ball? that is a marimo moss ball. i'm thoroughly convinced that keeping them in a planted tank helps keep algae at bay. funny enough, marimos are algae! lol. the filter is an Elite mini hob, rated for up to 5 gallons. Well done. this current lil betta tank actually seems small to me, compared to the three 10 gallons i used to have my male bettas in when i first started in the hobby. now those were some super spoiled betta boys! lol.
