Blue Ram
Well I've taken a big plunge. I bought a beautiful 120 gal reef setup complete with all livestock. Tank is stocked full of beautiful corals. Moving and setting it up starting tomorrow. The tank was previously set up as a room divider. I will be putting it against a wall that is painted off-white. I think it would look better if a background was put on even though most reef tanks don't have them. I think it would bring out better colour. Any suggestions? jvision
I would go with a solid color - Blue or Black, IMO
corrosionjerry
I have set up a new tank as well and was wondering the same however after thinking about it I decided it would not be nessesary to put in a backgroud or paint.... I purchased a wack of eco-reefer rock and a member from the forum sold me some liverock of the highest quality to mix with it / it will nearly cover the whole backside of the tank so no background is required.............just the way a reef should look in my estimation
BettaFishMommy
i agree with Jason. blue is used often in marine tanks and looks pretty darn good IMO. don't do black if you have any dark coloured fish, since they'll blend too well.
