dunl Posted March 28, 2011 Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 My suggestion is post on Canreef and ask if there is an experienced reefer willing to come visit for a short time period to check over your system setup and give you some hints. There is NOTHING like experience, and you might be surprised at the little things that get pointed out that will make a BIG impact. Supply some wine or beer. If I was handy I'd drop by. GIJester Posted March 28, 2011 Author Report Share Posted March 28, 2011 Glass top has been installed, got about 40 lbs of LR cycling - but since 20 was from previous tank its showing some algae. we will be adding 4-5 Turbo snails tonight. Good to know on the Regal, was going to look for one about 1.5" ish - any smaller I'd be worried about him. its her first tank ever, and at the rate she is goign learning and asking questions I forsee a Healthy OBSESSION being created... I can see her going to a 100-150 in a year or so when she gets comfortable runnign this one - then keep this one on the side - eithe as iso or grow tank... cant say yet but, good over all. Borgy Posted April 2, 2011 Report Share Posted April 2, 2011 I too am thinking of going saltwater the tank is a 24g nano cube ... with a few fresh water fish and plants which i will move to another tank do i have to get a skimmer stright off the bat ... or can i get the tank going on salt then add it later ? and of course i'ii give the tank a good clean before adding saltwater Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
