Turns out to be a male sailfin molly. I knew a guy with a old man betta who'd flare and chase the rams (well pretty much any of the fish tat came to near him) in his planted tank. Sierra Posted September 26, 2011 Report Share Posted September 26, 2011 All the bettas I've had flare (at some point) at almost all other fish...I thought that was normal uh oh lol. Actually...I have one I bought recently and he is rather inactive. He likes to hide and even in heated water he never seemed to swim around much. However when I got him (CT) his bottom fin tips were very curled and he looked as thought transport was rough on him. He is the most non-aggressive betta I've ever had. He is slowly coming out more and being social to his neighbors as his health improves...any suggestions?? He is a stunning array of metallic looking copper/green/purple.
