Only three certificates were handed out. We had a great turn out, but nobody bothered to pick their favorite fish. Best Egg layer went to Wingin' it for her bangai cardinal Best Live-bearer went to Jerry for his swordtail Second place Live-bearer went to Dan11 for his guppy. Turn out in the live-bearer category was only 2 entries. In retrospect, I think next year well only run one category, best in show. And I'll try and make it idiot proof to reduce on confusion. At the ACE bowl shows we don't do the categories. Everyone just brings a fish and then we vote for our favorites. Its kind of hard to have categories when there is a limited number of entries. ps: If any Edmonton people are interested we are doing a ACE bowl show at the Decemeber meeting. I now understand why bulbs are so important to things, and not just their K temperature. So looks like I get to go shopping for new bulbs now. Haha.
