Vallisneria
Well after 10years of faithful service the threading in my python finally gave out. I remember hearing people say they can buy brass fittings for it at Lee Valley, what exactly as I looking for when I go to the store? I need this part Couldn't find what I was looking for on the website but not sure i'm searching with the right terms Thanks
James (Western Canada)
Val: You could try LV, but I'm not certain they will have what you seek? You could also try Bartle & Gibson ......but in the end if you got 10 yrs out of the original, and a replacement is $15.00, that's $1.50/yr....I expect to get the same thing in brass will be MORE ( and will likely be made up from two or more separate items(. oh, almost forgot, Make sure you take your old one with you, it will be easier than trying to describe what you want:) James Edited April 12, 2012 by James (Western Canada)
ckmullin
Give a dedicated plumbing supply store a try. Not the Home Depot's but a contactor plumbing location. I needed to jerry-rig something together and the place had all the little unknown parts I needed.
RD.
Walmart used to sell the venturi pumps for waterbeds, which is what that part is.
ckmullin
Walmart used to sell the venturi pumps for waterbeds, which is what that part is. AH the good old waterbed days! Now the memories flood bad...literally! Yup...remember that same part...a dark blue color, same thing. Perhaps give the waterbed places a call and see if you can get a replacement! Here are a few links that might help. http://www.westernpump.ca/index.html http://www.cylex.ca/company/waterbed-magic-12488137.html http://alberta.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-furniture-beds-mattresses-WATERBED-PARTS-W0QQAdIdZ240077488 http://www.edmonton.servpro.ca/can/c/40627-152499-AB-Waterbed_Connection.html http://www.edmonton.servpro.ca/can/c/40627-152291-AB-Waterbed_Magic.html
Vallisneria
Thanks I'll check out the water bed thing. Otherwise I might just buy a plastic python piece and then get a brass quick connect thing for the faucet. Tonight made me remember how much I love my python. I couldn't use it to fill my 90g back up so I had to use buckets. Definitely don't want to ever have to go back to those days.
blink
Petcetera might have exactly what you are looking for, I was there the other day for the first time in years and noticed they had Aqueon parts with brass fittings on plastic housings. I didn't inspect them too closely but I seem to recall seeing that part or something VERY similar. The location was Millwoods (not sure if there are other locations).
