jvision
I haven't had any fish deaths using Metricide 28, but it's definitely not nearly as good ad using Excel. When I looked up the MSDS for M-28, and compared it w M-14, the only difference seemed to be the activator. Guess that is not the case I will not be using Metricide 28 any longer. FishTankBoy
When I looked up the MSDS for M-28, and compared it w M-14, the only difference seemed to be the activator. Guess that is not the case I will not be using Metricide 28 any longer. I thought this as well as I looked up an older copy of the MSDS that was saved on another plant forums cache. This is the most up to date one that i can find from Metrex themselves (manufacturer of Metricide). Metricide 14 - http://www.metrex.com/msds/metrex/us/english/MetriCide.pdf Glutaraldehyde 2.6% Water 97.4% Metricide 28 - http://www.metrex.com/msds/metrex/us/english/MetriCide%2028.pdf Glutaraldehyde 2.5% Water and other inert ingredients 97.5% Please be aware that they have a seperate MSD for the activator itself, and these MSDS ingredent listings do not include the activator mixed in already. In the end I lost close to 20 fish in 8 days.
