jus_sum_guy
Howdy folks! New to aquatic plants. Have always been interested in the natural look. Have done a lot of reserch but one quetion still remains unanswered.... I move in about 1.5 months. Will have a new 75 gallon when I move in. But in the meantime I would like to see if I can even keep plants alive! I was thinking of growing some in a smaller tank, say 20 - 30g. If succesful, can I just transfer to the plants/substrate to the 75g the first day I set it up?? or will they die during the cycle period like fish do? Thanks!! The water chemistry may be slightly different so you may have a small amount of yellow/browning but as long as you're providing the same nutrients and similar lighting you'll be fine. And no, the plants won't die during the cycle, plants will actual assist in cycling the tank.
