Live Plants In Turtle Tank?

Thanks, I do give him lettuce and other veggies, but they have to be taken out if they aren't eaten within a few hours, otherwise they'll gunk up the water. I was hoping someone knew of a non-toxic plant that tasted bad to turtles (unlikely as that may be -- my guy periodically tries to eat his plastic plants).

The worst tasting plants may have a shot - try Java fern and/or Anubias. I don't have high hopes, tho.

I have kept res for years and there are a lot of plants that I have tried, The only one that did kinda good in there was duckweed. They still ate it but it was slow. I also had been growing the duckweed in another tank with lots of light and kept adding it in the turtle tank. Other than that no other plants would stay in the tank more than a few days.
