Tigs
anyone know of a good place in Edmonton to buy a lot of glass tops from? I'm looking for the ones that open from the side of the tank due to my setup. Would be after 20G , 10G, 5G, and 2.5G lids suggestions? thanks, Antonio PS I have them open air right now and don't really mind it except I'm concerned a bit about the humidity levels in the room they are in, and what potential damage high humidity may have overall to the house etc.
jvision
I run a dehumidifier - cost me around $200 or so at Canadian Tire. I too am thinking of lidding up, tho.
Tigs
hmm I wonder if plastic wrap would do it lol, cover up say 2/3 of the surface area, keep the spray from getting out and leave just 1/3 open for feeding cleanup hehehhee cheers, Antonio
PistolPete
Aqua giant always makes mine. Cheap and effective

McTurtle
My tops are made out of acrylic. DH cut them for me in about 5 minutes . I think it works well for smaller areas. Two pieces for the 65 gallon & one for the 10 gallon. Tiny bit of bowing but doesn't interfere with use and I can't shatter them if I drop them. PistolPete
I just walk in and wait ten to fifteen mins. I'm sure he has lots of scrap pieces saying around for small tanks
Tigs
Thanks Pisto, I got a quote from him that is quite reasonable. Hence I may go that route, only problem is I have some oddball tank sizes so need to get my son working on measurements fun heheh cheers, Antonio
PistolPete
Np, i am always satisfied when I buy lids off aqua giant. There was a time that I was scared to buy a tank without a glass lid. Until I found aqua giant.

jbenchzer
Aqua giant is more economical. Agree with that by far.
