Iceturf
A random question for people out there this happy Halloween Most people with planted aquariums have full spectrum lighting, do you ever worry that might increase eye damage from being regularly exposed? Or that you might get increased skin damage?
creekbottom
Nope, I'm not living under the lights and not looking directly at them.
Psylant
Do you worry when you walk outside to your car in a parking lot? You're probably exposed to more danger there, than at your aquarium... unless you run an abundance of UV over a reef.
ckmullin
Unless you want to try tanning under your lights I really wouldn't be concerned. Toxins from a daily commute to downtown during rush hour is of more concern then tank lights.
Jayba
Kinda like the sun, just a billion times smaller. Just don't look right at the lamps for an extended period of time and it'll all be OK. The EMF given off by your cell phone or bedside alarm clock is a bigger hazard than a light bandwidth over a tank. Iceturf
Trying to feel out what people's thought on the matter are - makes sense I can see what everyone is saying. I guess if it really bothers me I can just find a UV filter coating to go over my fixture. Thanks for everyone's input.
