Starting A Brackish Riparium

Hey, I have kinda jumped into the brackish niche. I know red or black mangroves grow well in any s.g. Is there any other type of brackish plants, and where in Alberta (preferably near Edmonton ) can i aquire them at? I've read that you could take some freshwater plants and gradually increase the salinity does this work well?

My fauna would be 3 red claw crabs (Perisesarma bidens)currently in a 10gal. Im planning for a 35gal long tank and would eventually like to add in fish but don't know if my tank has enough depth for it. I also have a 55g corner pentagonal that would make a nice riparium. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

I've kept Java fern in brackish tanks. Not sure if the crabs would rip them up, tho. Most Aubias spp. are also a bit salt-tollerant.
