Janelle003
Just started a 10 gallon planted aquarium. No fish yet. But the plants I received must've had a cluster of snail eggs and now I have tons of snails! Any ideas on how to get rid of them? I put in 1 assassin snail as I don't want a ton of those breeding either!!
syno321
They are not even close to being as prolific as any of the more common snails.
geleen
Since you dont have fish you could try a snail killer.
Vimmer
With nothing but plant you could remove the bio from filter and cycle alum(spice aisle at any grocery) @ 2 tbsp/gallon.
ckmullin
snails often get a bad wrap. snails in a planted tank IMO are a must to recreate the outdoor environment. everything in moderation. I do planted tanks and happy to help if wanted.
