WickedOdie
So I have a 90 gallon dirted and heavily planted tank. I've been using 2 standard 6500 40 watt t8 bulbs. It's okay but I feel like I should get better. Soooo... I purchased a dual t5 fixture. My question is, is there a place to buy cheaper bulbs? I don't want to spend 40-80 dollars a bulb at pet stores. Any ideas?
ckmullin
t5ho is the best tech for planted tanks...glad you made that choice. go to here: http://www.quickgrow.comfor sunblaster bulbs. a good price. take a look here as well: http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/page.aspx?p=67298&cat=2,44716

ckmullin
I should also say that the sunblaster bulbs are rated for 10,000 hours...that is also a plus.
blink
Most hydroponic stores should have T5HO bulbs available, I know of a couple here in Edmonton that sell them for about $7-10 depending on size
WickedOdie
I found the sunblast bulbs at blue grass for 15 bucks a bulb. Still better than a pet store! Thanks everyone for the advice.
