Majestic_Aquariums
There should be some @ one of the Home centers?? It is stocked at all the ones I am aware of, usually in 2'X8', or 4'X8' sheets. Doesn't surprise me Home Depot staff don't know what it is :bang1: Maybe check w/Totem? Majestic_Aquariums
 Well, they may not be the smartest of staff, but at least they all seem consistant! Go back there if you wish, (Home Depot) and go down the insulation isle. You will guaranteed see styrofoam there-both open and closed cell, in a variety of sizes. (Pink, and white) Great place as long as you don't want help-I better not get started on that topic!
Joholiomon
thanks for the info those guys tsk tsk tsk...styrofoam would that work as a filter in the tank? same stuff right?
arixonbarnes
Big Al's sells the black foam (for filters) in larger chunks that you can cut to size yourself. Cheaper than buying the precut, prepackaged foam pads.

African_Fever
It's a good idea to us foam (closed cell) under your tank on a tank to even pressure and relieve any pressure/stress points that may develop (I use it under everything over 30 gallons whenever I can, on all home-made stands etc).
