jus_sum_guy
Picture this. WE all know what a bala looks like. Nice and silver. Seems like a part of it's skin is off like it got bitten or something. Like when we scrap our skin and all that's left is the bottom layer. Anyone know what's wrong?? or did my other bala just get too rough??

jus_sum_guy
my camera is messed up right now. But another way of putting it, what i shoulda said in the first palce, is that it looks like an open wound.
Vallisneria
What other fish are kept with the bala? Have you noticed any fighting? Are there any sharp decorations in teh tank he could have hurt himself on? Did it seem that the wound just appeared or could it be somethign that started out small and has grown larger? any fungus or anyhting weird about the wound? Its a bit hard to answer a disease question if you dont' provide more info. What are the water parameters and what size tank? It could just be he got into a fight(depending on the tankmates). Just make sure your water is very clean and if it isn't fungused then it should heal fine. If it is a very big or deep sore then it may leave a scar.
