wtac
I'm 90% sure that it looks like L-001; P. joselmani. The third pic shows the figure 8 shaped dot/blotch indicative of L-001. Need to see dorsal fin shape to be certain. If it's L-001, they grow to 8". HTH Edited January 30, 2006 by wtac

Mighty Prawn
Looks like it could be Acanthicus Adonis, but probably not if it has be 2.5" for 2 years. Acanthicus Adonis gets to almost a food, and has very long flowing caudal fin filaments. Here's a close up picture. Here's a close up of Pterygoplichthys Joselimainus, L-001. Check out this link, might be in there. Plecos -Hideo

sharon
It is possibly a Hypancistrus species. ie.L201 Hypancistrus inspector grows to about 9cm.Other species in this line ie. LDA 6 grow to about 7cm.
Raven
ohh, i dont know, ive been looking through planet catfishes files and so far she looks like a normal BN but her spots are yellower, almost like a males. maybe that was why see was a "gold" one? Hey Andy! i know theres like 3 andys on the site, but i bought this pleco of one of you at a auction, i beleive it was an oct one 2 years ago, after it was over, for 20 bucks. Do you know what it is? nevchewy
Could it not be just a common sailfin pleco? Just my opinion... nev
jvision
She said it's been that size for a couple years - so I'd say the Sailfin Pleco is not a valid option.
