Good point. I do not drive to work, and thus do not have a car to leave them in, but I'll tell him not to put them in his. I'am not a PHD or anything, but in my opinion with out water movement and alittle heat of some sort the bacteria will die. Just tell him to rinse his media in the old water when he does a water change. That way the media will get clean, but still keep the bacteria alive.

It was about 5" when i took that pic. Good guess, but it is not C. ramsdeni.

I made a few out of Lava rock. It looked more natural, but they are a pain in the @$$ to make. I used a drill and bit to make the entrance and cave part, by drilling many holes close together. Then took a grinding bit and took out the inside part. They look cool, but sure take alot of tome to make.

How large is your Red Tail at the moment? I would keep a eye on him. You have some impressive fish there and i imagine your no ammature, but i have heard of them swallowing anything kept in the same space as them. *Once they get some size on* You've seen their mouth at feeding time. So you know what i meen. Please keep us updated i'am very interested in you project staus. :bow:
