  1. Well now i can say i have one. I spent the day cleaning it and moving tanks(well my dad and other half moved them lol) right now i have 1-10 1-20 and 1-30 and the rubbermaid tub full of babies. here is some pictures. Before: And my 120g empty but will probably show progress on it. I will also post pictures later tonight when i move my 2-15's down there.
  2. you'll enjoy them very much. Just wait until they get to know you and come to whereever you are near there tank and only you. my discus i tested them and i walked towards the room they were in and they all came to that corner and waited for me. But when i made my other half do it they hide. LOL They are by far my favorite fish. how many did you get? Did they have any blue diamonds available? Well Goodluck with them.
  3. Very nice discus. Glad to hear they are settling nicely. Where did you get them? if you dont mind me asking. post more pictures i love discus.

  6. very nice room. I absolutly love your lionfish. Im just curious though where did you get the rock for your 29g new world tank? because we need to get some rock for rock caves for the 80g when we move the discus over to the 120g. thanks Jen
  7. the feeding well isnt completely true. Williewonka does feed his piranhas well. I thought the same thing. Until i saw the violent attack of the one piranha that he talked about. I literally screamed. in less then a few seconds half his body was gone. i would think that its kind of like you never know. They could be fine. They could not be fine. If you want to take that chance.

  10. looks alot better. Good job. oh and by the way nice penguin -roll-
  11. personally i take out the water and add it back in my discus tanks with the python with no side affects to my discus. i just take what i need.. I lower the ph with discus buffer and i mix it in a large margirine container with prime and mix well and add it slowly over the period of putting the water in. Unlike i would just throw the prime in with the water all at once with all my other tanks. i just make sure everything is equal temp. i do to many water changes to use buckets and when i did use buckets i couldnt wait to get the python. you should be fine with using the python. its soooooooooooo much easier. HTH
  12. thanks i will get this figured out. I just am so excited to get my discus in there new home. i think they will love the extra room
  13. the dimensions are l-60inches h-26inches w-18inches I think in the long run we will invest in some good lights and co2 but for now we will keep it simple. I got set a link to check out low light plants. I would love to have a nicely planted tank with high light plants but right now i dont think that will happen. we also have a 48 inch coralife with 2x65watts light on the 80 which we could put on there but even with the basics and those i dont think it would cut it. not quite. Say if i got another 48inch 2x65 watt. it would be more then enough lighting but would it be ideal? would all the plants thrive if i did that?no matter where i put them?
  14. i bought a 120gallon tank about 1 month or so ago and its been sitting in my basement in storage. I wanted to upgrade my 80g discus tank. anyways my mom and her husband are finally moving out of my basement in 3 days which means finally i get my fish room and my 120g set up. I tried a planted tank before in my 80 it didnt last very long and it was only a few plants and 300 dollar lights later. I know nothing and i want to make the 120g completely planted. and do it right. i dont have money to go out and buy lights. its the basic lights that come with it or any tank. i keep my water temp at about 83-86 so i know water temp is high and has something to do with keeping plants. so basically i need some low light plant that require high temps. if anyone can give me some names. And as for subtrate i was hoping to get just sand or a very fine gravel subtrate in a nice light white/brown color I know petland reddeer has some ok looking stuff but i dont want it to alter my ph which is 6.5 I also will probably be going to calgary in the next month so places that have what i might need would be great if i cant get it here. im very excited about my new tank and i cant wait to get it all planned out :D so any ideas and any help would be great. thanks Jen

  23. i have purchased online with another lady before all went very well. We got them from the states. The only trouble was the airport recived them really early and they sat there for a long time. But they were fine. I would order again online again. As long as i seen pictures of the fish i was buying. to make sure they are good quality.
