  1. Sorry I missed this. Anytime mate, my pleasure.
  2. Just some pictures my Redhead (not me) took of some clams in one of my clients' tanks.
  3. If ever anyone is looking for a wicked reptile as a pet they should get Cresties. Crested geckos are easily the nicest little lizard in the world. These are my wee gargoyles, they guard my dogs when they sleep.
  4. I've got my F-X5's on for $250.00.
  5. Go with the mantis! Nothing else will come close to being as cool.
  6. Hi, Welcome to the coolest hobby in the universe!
  7. So long as the rock is cured you should experience little for ammonia/nitrite spikes. You might get a little as moveing the rock always causes it some stress and die-off, but nothing to worry about.
  8. I'm soliciting options and opinions. Now that I've got a real home (my shop), I've got something through which I can make a more significant impact in the aquarium industry. I've always been a huge supporter of the Society and what it can do for the hobby, so now I ask: How can I help? I'm looking for suggestions as to how I can help give people what they're looking for out of the club. How can I help/make new people join? What can I do to make the Society experience better? What can I do for you? I'm listening Thank you.
  9. I'm with Guppylove1985. Rose KNEW exactly what she got when she picked George up. She was absolutly comitted to his care for the entirety of his life and did EVERYTHING she could to assure his comfort and health. She is an experienced fish keeper and extremly empathic towards her charges. I'm only writing this because of the general (and normally well deserved) negativity that surrounds the captive husbandry of red-tail cats and that Rose should not be painted with such a brush. Shai, I completly agree with you that LFS should never sell them. It really makes me angry when I walk in and see a tank full of two inch babies (and normally not very expensive). They're adorable when young and the kid working there making minimum wage is usually ill equiped to educate the potential buyer of their extreme needs. Also, I'm not reaming you out, I just don't want to see Rose anguish any more than she is. The one in my shop is mine, a congratulatory present to myself when I opened this shop, and I assure you that 20 years from now I'll still have the happiest, hugest catfish in the world. P.S. If anyone ever wants one the cost is $100,000,000.00 firm. I'll bet you take care of it then.
  10. Huzah! Congrats on breeding one of the most beautiful freshwater fish in the world.
  11. Honestly, I'd not worry about it. I know he's all deflated right now, but mine at home did that for almost three weeks when I got it home then it became the biggest, baddest bubble ever and they do this in the shop all the time. The base on it still looks big and well anchored. I think it'll be fine.
  12. He looks alright to me. Have you used any iodine supplements? How did you acclimate it? What did you try to feed it? Bubbles do this all the time. They look like Hell the first little while, then they warm up to the tank.
  13. I'll be laughing about that for weeks. When I can close the door of my fishroom, the rest of the world does'nt exist anymore. I don't think that fishrooms are meant to be displayed for all company to see. Being invited into someone's fishroom is a very special thing.
  14. Welcome to the lifestyle of fishkeeping! There's nothing better.
  15. For sure, Matt, drop in some bugs and watch the carnage. Enjoy!

I can get you one pretty quick. It might be a bit more than what Mitch will charge (depending on what kind of mood he's in), but you'll get it on time. Give me a call at the shop and I'll get you a cost.
