  1. Awesome fish, good luck with them man!!
  2. Thank you! I cannot recommend them enough, they really are great fish
  3. It's been quite a while since I added new pics of these fish and I've got a few shots I'm happy with to show. So here we go... Big boss fish The same male sucking in some hair algae (which is the reason why I only have BLACK algae in this tank ) Male or female closeup Same fish taking a yawn I hope you enjoy! These fish are great, but I'm getting bored with them and they're beating up my loaches. I might trade them in and order some native North American fish. Thanks for looking, Taylor
  4. I was really hoping you would pick up a CA cichlid sometime. I'm really looking forward to your next bunch of shots of this guy!
  5. Great stuff Charles. The Koliba and puffs are really awesome
  6. Thanks I ordered the camera and underwater housing through amazon.com. I thought it was a better deal than a purely UW camera since it has alot more functions, it'll be great for a travel camera. I agree, remote shots are great, I hope to get something like that setup eventually, but am too chicken to leave this pricey equipment at the bottom of a river right now!! Taylor
  7. Hey guys, I finally got to do some real fishing and fish photography this weekend. We camped out at the Red Deer River and did some fishing during a float downstream. There were plenty of nice holes full of Goldeye (my first time catching them). I was happy to put my new underwater camera setup to use and got this nice shot among others: So begins this year's collection of native fish photos, now I really feel like 2009 has begun! I'll be out at Pigeon Lake this weekend in time to catch the Iowa Darter spawn. I'll get some pics of them with the photo tank and hopefully will capture some breeding behaviour underwater. Taylor
  8. Beautiful jewels man
  9. Very nice gouramis
  10. Thanks Just a not I should add, I haven't looked at this article in a looong time and realized I've misused the term "Southeast Asia". I'll have to edit for correctness, thanks for the bump Iceturf
  11. Beautiful fish Jonah! That low tech SW tank looks like the way to go, people make it more complicated than it needs to be
  12. I was wondering when you would post up the first batch for this year Patrick. Very nice as always
  13. Congrats and best of luck with them man!
  14. Great fish and pics Charles. That Wolf Fish would be so awesome!
  15. :welcome: You will definitely get your guidance here, should you ask.
  16. :welcome: to the forum, Jeff.
  17. Better equipment makes a huge difference, doesn't it? I know when I went from my point and shoot Canon G5 to my dad's Nikon DSLR, my pics drastically increased in quality. It's nice to have equipment that matches your abilities, it's no good when a camera hinders your skill. I'm excited to see what shots you'll come out with as you get more comfortable with the new lens. These look great for starters
  18. Those are some awesome oddball fish, I really like the looks of the Endli Endli "Guinea". Thanks for sharing those pics!
