  1. Put a small pike cichlid in your tank and the fry will be looked after for you.
  2. I find that they are fairly simple to breed once tthey pair off. I've had several breeding pairs and found that if you let them pick their own partners they will produce every 2 weeks. The difficulty lies in raising the fry, and getting to the size of a dime. If you want to raise the fry it usually works best to syphon some off into a tank by themselves. Then you have to feed them something small enough to fit in their mouths 3 to 5 times a day without over feeding and polluting the water. I use Wardley's liquifry for the first week and then switch to nls grow run through a pepper mill until they are big enough to take the pellets. I keep my breeders in separate tanks with out tank mates. Also the fry seem to do better in a smaller tank for the first month. Water changes on your fry tank should come directly from the parent tank for the first 2 to 4 weeks to reduce the risk of shocking the fry. Here is a link to my favorite pair. http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showt...ll's+angels
  3. My Severum bred in a bare bottom tank but the bog wood they used was guarded vigilantly. I believe you have a pair.
  4. Same here, with the exception of when my first pair spawned. They dug up a few smaller plants digging pits for their nest
  5. All right everybody, degrassi has already stepped in here and asked for you to keep to the discussion at hand. If you can't do just that then the whole thread will be deleted. I will not waste my time editting out the garbage.

  11. It means if you are replying to a pm, and it has been a back and forth message then you need to delete some of the original quotes in the message.
  12. Have you made sure the o-ring is properly seated?
  13. Here is my rack, it is 7' long and the shelves step back from 30" to24" to 18". It has 6 20g tanks on the lower 2 shelves and 10g tanks on top.
  14. Measure the diameter of one of the parts the hose fits to and that will give you the size.
  15. I would not go more than a centimeter as it looks nicer.
  16. Read this it will help you. http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=11713 You can get this as well and it is inexpensive.
  17. Your fish should be fine in rubbermaids with filteration and heaters for 3 or 4 days. Just cut back on the feeding. As for what I would do, read this. You don't have to do the whole tank, just where the leak is. http://albertaaquatica.com/index.php?showtopic=11713
  18. 4 Rena xp3's, 1 Chinese Ehiem knock off, and a fluval 403. Once a month for the knock off on Rip's tank, otherwise every second month unless the flow dies out.
  19. CHECK OUT "DAD'S FISHROOM" WAAAAAAAAAAAAY BEFORE YOU GO TO BIG AL'S .. HENRY HAS ALWAYS BEEN ONE OF THE BEST!!! DAD'S FISHROOM is Nature's Corner
  20. Ditch the under gravel filter, and the fluval 205 is not sufficient either.
