  1. Right on. What are you feeding your fish?
  2. Well so far these ones still recognize each other and take turns caring for the eggs
  3. Sorry Brad but tempered glass cannot be cut drilled or altered in any way it is what it is.
  4. LOL Jay -roll- These little fellows love showing off they're geat.
  5. My 5 year old grand daughter loves coming over to see my fish. So she thought she should give me a new one I'm not sure what it is though, possibly Ichthius Lovicus?
  6. Since my Angels spawned their colors have changed from mostly silver to silver and black blotches and a lot of black in the fins. I didn't know angels colored up when breeding, i have never read anything about it anywhere either. I just thought it was kind of a neat point of interest. Before spawning. After spawning. Another photo after spawning. Has anyone else seen this?
  7. Some of my kribs have paired off, and even spawned. I will be putting some of them into my 75g tank and trying for a spawn. This photo is from a couple of months ago. She looks like she swallowed a grape.
  8. I think these guys are every bit as nice as Rams. Here are a couple of photos, but I'm not sure of gender. I kind of favor them as they are not shy or very aggresive.
  9. Cool!!!! It's next on my things to try list.
  10. I started with 7 angels in a 40*14.5*14.5" tank and they started pairing off, I think the first ones I separated might have split up the one pair, and I'm going to move them both into the 75g tank to see how they do. 1 is a Blush Angel, and the other almost looks like a Koi Angel. I took my daughter to the ACE auction for her bd and they are what she wanted. So keeping them alive and happy is the first concern, breeding is just a bonus. Thanx for the info though I always appreciate good advice.
  11. That was what I was hoping to hear. I thought it would be a good idea. Especialy when breeding, no intake for the fry to go up. And with the fine substrate it can't go through the impeller. How long do the sponges last before replacement?
  12. Does anyone use sponge filters on power heads? If so how well does it work and is there any particular method for doing it?
  13. Yes I noticed that today. Good luck with them.
  14. Well the singled out Blush is in for a treat, it is moving in to the 75g tank tomorrow as it is finaly up and running. I am just bringing the temp up and the ph down right now.
  15. A while ago I had problems with my angels killing each other off, so I separated some of them out. i moved the 2 remaining Marbles to another tank and kept the 3 Blush angels in the 36g. Well then 2 of the Blush singled out the other one and driving it into one end of the tank. I was just checking to see how they were doing and behold in the back corner hard place to see on the back of a leaf are a small batch of eggs. So I guess I had better move the third Blush as well, I'm not anticipating success at this time as there other fish there as well. However I don't want another dead fish either.
  16. I guess that's why they are called nasty's. She has the tank to herself?
  17. Nice fish Jay. How come you have the male & female in different tanks? How did you make out with your front panel off your 270g?
  18. Well I hpoe all goes well with the fry, keep us posted on how they are doing.
  19. Way to go Punman. You must be the proud grandpa now.
  20. He is a splendid looking specimen. Are you breeding them?
  21. It might almost be worth the trip if enough people were interested.
  22. It is always a wonderful thing to have a successful spawn
  23. After building my first aquarium and having fish die off for no aparent reason after moving them into this tank I learned to read the small print
  24. I just looked at a tube of G.E. II today and it says do not use on aquaruiums or food preparation surfaces. If it says it is not food grade or not for aquarium use, do not use it. On the label G.E. II says 100% silicone but when you read the ingredients it has a chemical additive as well.
  25. I disagree with that statement, the only place with zero strength is where the break is, but with this tank the verticle cracks are a big concern as they could run. If you have a cracked piece of glass and you cut off the broken piece the rest of the glass is still good.
