Brian also said they have a nice sized shipment of sps and hard corals comming in next week. I seen some nice 5-6" powder blues in and some pink leather finger coral that looked pretty sweet. 4. Thanks for the comments. Only once in awhile I get a good nights worth of pictures with this camera. Not saying the camera is poopy actually quite opposite, it has far to many settings for me and the manual looks like a task and a half so i try and remember what settings work for me under what conditions and adjust as needed. I was able to use a makeshift tripod for last nights pictures which helped alot. Murray, If you want you can swing by anytime and frag a few heads if you like. I got a couple others you can check out aswell. Cheers, Sammy

  6. Howdy all, Little Ocean's has a nice shipment of livestock comming in tonight. I seen some Chevron tangs on the list as well as some nice Hawaiian Cleaner Wrasse which I missed out on last time. They are located in the House of tools plaza at 50th street and 82-81 Ave in Edmonton. Cheers, Sammy
  7. Good Morning, We are currenty running 2 of the Aquagiant tanks. I have been running my 60gal tank for over a year with no problems at all. I did not mind the hoodfilter design either and it worked great but the trick was making sure to add the right amount of media for the trays. Another great feature that I liked was the Hood assembly is in 2 parts that snap together to make a nice tight fit over the whole tank or you can remove the filter portion and add an HOB, Canister... anything you need. And they do give a lifetime warranty on thier tanks aslong as they are used on their stands. One thing I was alittle worried about were the end caps on the lights, they didnt seem that water proof to me and I did burn out a couple bulbs from the condensation but after moving around my intank air stone I was able to keep the lights dry. The second picture shows where the water returns into the tank. Depending on the media you use in the tray I would leave this portion media free. HTH, Sammy
  8. Howdy, More items have been added to the auction and alot more to come over the next few days. Thanks for the replies, Sammy
  9. Howdy I am all up for supporting the site, I just recently posted some more details on somethingsfishy.ca with regards to that such question. But it will be a public auction open to the public not just AA members. But AA will definalty receive kickbacks from it. For the time being there is no profit being made nor will there be made at this point. Cheers, and keep the questions comming please. Sammy
  10. Howdy All, Its up and running for those interested. http://www.somethingsfishy.ca I will be holding a live mini auction next weekend (Aug 18-20). The site will be accepting paypal payments and cash on pickup or delivery. Right now the items I have on the auction site are and will be available, just not yet. I also will be working with setting up shipping fees based on the current rates with our postal services. Thank you to those that have already signed up. More feedback is welcome. Thanks again, Sammy
  11. Howdy all, I just finished building an online auction forum/site. I will be looking for people to help test in the next couple days. I will need people with paypal accounts and would prefer that they live in Edmonton. Anyways you can take alook now and give me your feedback on any bugs you come across. I just put this together so it is still very early in development and look forward to all feedback. http://www.somethingsfishy.ca You will notice the "auctions" link in the main heading. Cheers, Sammy

  16. Hi Jason, Have fun with your new salt water adventure, they are so much more interesting then fresh. About the heat and setting up a small tank now, if your basement is like mine then it should not be an issue. My little setup never gets above 81 even the last 2-3 days. I have some fragged sea mat if your interested in some hardy zoo's to start out with. They are sorta burgendy in color. Sammy

  21. Good Morning, I was over at Little Ocean's again Yesterday and Brian was setting up 10 more salt tanks. Currently everything is onsale from live rock to coral and fish, even dry goods. The price's are the cheapest I have seen anywhere in the city and the stock is very nice. If you need more info please call Brian @ 231-5910. May 12 will be another Coral shipment and I believe another Fish shipment is arriving any day now. Cheers, Sammy

  24. Howdy All, The new store location of Natures Corner / Little Oceans (aka Dads Fish Store) its looking really good. With more then double their previous space they now have a very decent sized marine section. Henry has been in the fish racket longer then most pet shops if not all pet shops in edmonton. Brian has continued to add to his salt section which he already had an est 15-20 tanks from the previous location dedicated to Saltwater fish and Corals. Their service is 1st class and they are always willing to pull out the ole research material to help you get the information you need on a particular coral/fish. They have been my #1 source since I set up my reef tank and I will continue to make them my first stop when I need a fix for my salt addiction, As long as Brian dont start charging me rent. With places like Nature's Corner & Little Ocean's, Edmonton may still hold its head up in hopes that others will follow thier example and keep the market health and happy. Mike
