  1. I agree Sue. It is because of the best fish store (in my opinion) that I am here and I always shop there and endorse them. I think others should too. Hurrah for the proper treatment of fish!
  2. Welcome to the forum. I am sure you would consider all of my fish to be "food". :welcome:
  3. That is one fabulous collection of plecos!
  4. That is one vivid shade of blue. Than you for sharing your pretty pictures!
  5. Yes it is the loach clicking. They do it when they eat for sure. I was at NCS and Henry tossed in a sinking wafer for the loaches, I heard lots of clicking then! I think it means it is happy, but I have never seen an unhappy one.
  6. I can totally see the fry. Whoohoo! I am so excited for you! I hope your babies do ok.
  7. http://www.royalalbertamuseum.ca/natural/i...sfaq/diving.htm Here is an article about them. It does not say if you can keep them in an aquarium. I have seen it done though. There was a kind of diving beetle at one of the museums I saw when I was in Montreal. I am not sure what they had to feed them as keeping them at home did not cross my mind so I did not ask.
  8. Welcome to the forum! :welcome: I will forgive you for living in the wrong city and rooting for that awful hockey team. Just kidding! I hope you have fun here.

    Hello

Good choice of swordtails! They are my favorite! Dad's fish room is now called Nature's Corner Store. They have a banner ad on this website. They also have a new location but everything else is the same. Welcome to AA! Welcome back to the small and awesome fish too!
  11. I think "idiot savant" would work too. I am glad the cat did not discover and eat the little guy. That is such a cool story thank you for sharing!
  12. That is a magnificent fish you have there. I do like Oscars, although I have yet to have a big enough tank to keep one they are on my list for the future.
  13. Welcome to the forum! I keep mostly swordtails, platies and catfish.
  14. The sword's colouring is not quite pineapple, but very nice. If you want cheap non-diseased swords and platies I can give you some of my less attractive ones. I understand the big guys have to eat, just feed them the ugly ones that's all.
  15. Thank you! Lots of people don't like the dots on the pigeon blood, but I personally don't mind em' Are the dots not desirable? They are the part I like best.
  16. Pretty! it's pics like this that make me want to keep killies.
  17. Aww, but he is such a pretty swordtail. Don't feed him to the leaffish! I can give you some ugly swordtails for that!

    Hello

Welcome! That Nature's Corner Store! They are always sending us people!
  19. Hikari tropical sinking wafers, broccoli, and all the algae and driftwood they can eat. I drop them in after lights out and all of mine seem fat and happy.
  20. "WOW That was cool" LOL! i am glad no one was hurt.
  21. The little @#$%!!! was hiding somewhere in the tank because he's there now. I don't know where because I poked all through the sand with a stick. I'm just happy he did not jump out. I don't want to think about the rabbit's reaction to a spiky grunting catfish skittering across the floor. If they felt threatened enough by the catfish's "song" they might attack, and I don't want to be pulling catfish spines out of a panicking bunny.
  22. I just moved the piece of bogwood that my Raphael cats live under and there was only one under there. There were two a week ago when I did my last water change. There were only 2 raphael cats and 2 German Rams in a 29 gallon tank. Please tell me he dug himself into the sand and is probably okay. I hardly ever saw him, but I really liked him. I don't want him to be dead.
