  1. right click, and go to show picture. it should work... that makes it work for me
  2. So on the remora, that top part that sticks up would be your collector, correct? $275 for the remora PRO (rated 60-125) in comparison: $189 for the CSS 3002 (rated 30-125) Is the $100 difference actually worth it? And performance wise, the Remora will outperform the CSS, or is it just easier to use? or for still less than the Remora, i could get the.. $227 for the CSS 3004 (rated 90-220) Which one outperforms which? You mention the bubbles... does the CSS allow bubbles to come back into the aquarium? Does the Remora? Kinda confused as you can see between these two. After talking to Albert, I've decided that the Prism is a waste of time, or more the less, he decided for me
  3. Remora, I've heard the brand. Anyone in Calgary sell these? What are the advantages to this one? Ive heard a few people say they work well, they just didn't conclude with the why they work well Thanks
  4. Im looking at getting a Turbo Twist 3x(9watt) Sterilizer or 6x(18watt)... On a predator tank (90 gallon, no sump), which would be the better one to go with? Is bigger always better with UV? Or is there a brand that is much better than these corallifes?
  5. Can someone give me a good breakdown on the advantages/disadvantages to a Prism Pro Deluxe and the Super Skimmer 2002/2004 I can't decide which one to get... Im thinking of ordering live rock from JL, and while im at it, i could add a Prism Pro deluxe... but if the Super Skimmer is better, I could just buy it locally... Thanks in advance.
  6. I've been using it for years, its great stuff and the price is definately right
  7. Well, with my WC mbuna, they were skittish as hell and always hid in my 90gallon, until I added the F1 tropheops you sold me, and since then, they've been out and about, and don't run away at all.
  8. What Rahim said. 45gallon is smallest readily available non-custom tank that is 4' long
  9. Wow tom, that 185 really doesn't look that big in that picture... doesn't do it justice very well. and that 90 looks a lot less crowded, I like it Nice and clean too, always a good sign.
  10. Looking good. You got great camera skills
  11. Fully agree with Kyle. Got mine with him... put 2 under my 90gallon... My plants grow awesome... Ideally I'd like to add another one... but 2 does the trick
  12. When I come to think of it... the easiest thing to do, would be to toss the 10gallon, and buy a new one... they only cost $10-15
  13. Work out the details and let us know! Us Calgary folk could easily pop up
  14. Gonna agree with the re-silicone. Any chance that it is condensation building up and leaking over the plastic rim? When I got my 150gallon, it did that, so I had to run a bead of silicone on the inside to stop condensation from building up and dripping down the front

if you made a sw 25-30gallon, it'd work, but you'd want a good amount of live rock and powerheads to help filter and move the water
  16. it is. if you go into your control panel, you haveta click a tiny little box, and then it will go on daylight savings time
  17. I know you said "IF", completely realized. I just don't want a bashing of petcetera to start happening, as Im right now trying to help get one in better shape.
  18. You shouldn't have to worry about an ammonia spike with the birth of a few guppy babies. The bio-load they will add will almost be unnoticeable. I have a 5.5gallon... it started with like 5 guppies over a year ago, and they are still going. You mentioned you had java moss in that tank I believe... if so great. My 5.5gallon is loaded with plants, wood, and moss, and I keep a steady population in there. Right now I have about 12-15guppies... and Im not worried at all about an ammonia spike. When I start getting too many guppies, I just take out most of the javamoss, and then less fry survive, and therefore my population drops over a few weeks/months... I think the filter might also be helping with the fry culling, but thats fine IMO.
  19. Watch out which petstores you bash. I don't really care cause its the edmonton one you ranting about, but every employee that I ever worked with at Calgary petcetera's, knew never to sell fish with a new tank. They'd tell them to come back once they had treated the water, checked everything was in working condition, and had their heater at the desired temperature. Ok, yeah, welcome aboard. Gotta love how cheap petcetera brand is.. The older kits they made were a lot better then the newer ones, but for $40-50 for the 10gallons, can't complain. If anything doesn't work, ya just bring it back for a new one! The employee who sold you neons for the cycling of a non-heated tank is a moron. I'd fire em if I ran that store.
  20. Thats odd. I've never had problems with PVC glue, and I've used it tons on my 150gallon.... Maybe he didn't let it settle enough, or maybe it wasn't mixed well enough and dissolved a bit? thats screwed up! I feel so bad for these people that have their systems go crazy and lose dozens of fish, $100's in value. but $1000's?! I'd cry.

When I worked at Petcetera, ours in the back would squirt a few feet. All we did was take a cloth or 2 and wrap them around where it leaks. Solved the problem instantly. I don't know why it leaked... probably because the faucet was a P.O.S... but yeah, it might have been a dud.
  22. lol, thats so strange Good picture tho
  23. O, whats this, looks like my female WC cobue is holding! Yay! oo, and my tropheops F1 female is still holding (Or its a new one holding..., but either way, there is a holding female Tropheops) Yay!
  24. Ok, ya, DO NOT buy those Phillips plant/aquarium bulbs. They suck. I bought 2, plugged them in, and to make a long story short, was back at home depot 10 mins later returning them. They suck. Instead, get the 6500k bulbs. Cheaper, and look a lot better in my opinion.
