  1. As I understand they are pretty non-aggressive fish until breeding time. Then they tend to get get aggressive. but if I am wrong then i am sure to be corrected :ml:
  2. It has 8 Dorsal rays. if i count them correctly you can use any picture you like Yes HOSS that is very close if not it. one of the first things i noticed was his body has kind of ridges down it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/Canadbis/PICT0904.jpg Hows that? time to clean the glass...you can see kids fingers -roll- :ml:
  3. Most of my rocks came from streams and such. I do an overnight soak in light salted water. then overnight rinse in fresh then I cook in oven for 1hour at 350 then a final over night rinse of fresh. Over kill?? Never had a fatality from new rocks

    Hello

  5. The fish is about 9" or so. I can get other pictures if you like. I just noticed that the common plecos seem to have designs on them but this one has perfect spots on it. will post more picks as soon as I can.
  6. It is blonde in colour tho. and the spots dont have rings and are very tiny. if it is a common pleco then fine...it is nice looking
  7. Everywhere but there are so many!!!! any guesses on this guy. Owner has had him a long time http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/Canadbis/PICT0902.jpg

  9. Well... Sad day in the Thompson house hold. The yellow algae eater didnt make it through the night. Would love to punch the original owner for his care just before getting rid of them but thats another post. I know he has has this cat for at least 3 years... and the closest picture I can find of it shows it as maybe being a frog marbled catfish? (pseudopimelodus raninus raninus Harold.. Your link looks exactly like the other one, mine was 6.5 inches. but unfortunatly didnt last the night as well as two very large silver dollars, and a smaller tetra. but on the bright side 3 tetras made it and so did a small CAE, a huge pleco that kind of looks like it has ridges on it (will post pick later), and the catfish. which I sure love already!!! Thanks for the help people. wonder what you think about the frog marbled

  13. Pisces does have an isle with bulbs and they show the difference between them by having them lit up beside each other in a show case. That may help you decide which you like the best
  14. Some manufacturers do built tanks that are only for reptiles and dont advise filling with water.
  15. I think that sticker means it is safe to be filled with water. I have a few tanks with that sticker and I believe them to be from different places. They also carry "AllGlass" and They do build bowfronts.
  16. WOW...Congrats  It is always nice to get a new batch of fry! Especially when its your first time with them. :ml:

  18. Welcome to AA. Always happy to have new members, and a knowledgeable one at that!! :ml:
  19. I think that is to small a tank, but there MAY be a couple small species you can put in there.
  20. You can also look into masonry stone. A good friend of mine does rock work on houses, fireplaces ect. and they are fairly light due to being man made. All have flat backs on them and there are even pieces made to go around corners. If interested I can find out where he gets them from and even if its just corner pieces that you want, I'm sure he can find it for you. They aren't very thick because they are used to cover walls already standing. I assume no matter what rock it is you will have to get them to stick somehow and he might even be able to enlighten you as to the best method. Just give me a hollar and I'll put you in touch with him Mathew
