  1. I have had "green water" problem in the past and I picked up this stiff from Gold's that is used in ponds for algae problems. My tank use to be in direct sunlight (under a sky light) and thus created the problem. The pond stuff is made by "laguna" and works great and clears it within an hour or two. READ THE INTRUCTIONS well for quantities!!!!!! HTH!!!
  2. "female 1" picture looks like a male (sub-dominant) and that may explain why the dom male is chasing!!!!! They look very similar to a batch that Denis (Gold's) broought in a while bakc and they were labeled Aulonocara sp. Hongi.... I also believe that his order came from Old World Exotic Fish!!!! That could be the same fish!!! Hope That Helps
  3. My 90 already has a high bioload. But, looks like that's where they will end up!!!!
  4. What's the smallest size fish that the petricola can be kept with, without having to worry about them eating the fry. I have a 20 gallon grow out tank with about 30 A. lwanda "red top" and 5 electric Yellows, they were all striped a couple of days before the CAS Auction. The yellow's are 1/2 inch and the Lwanada's are about 1/4 inch!!!!! The buescheri are really attaching the syno's the last couple of days and I really want to move them to my fry tank if possible!!!!! Thanks,
  5. http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...?showtopic=2267 Click the above and follow the thread, I'm sure it will answer your question!!!
  6. Gold's has some really nice 2" J. regini kipili F1's for sale. Denis bred those himself from imported Wild Caughts. I may be interested in the Caudo's let me know when you decide for sure!!!
  7. Hi Tim, I think it was $20-25.00 for the proven breeding pair. I believe I did get some of the same brood of cyps, looks like I will have 2 males, 5 females and I lost two (runts that would not eat or grow). The dominant male is starting to color up nicely and they are reaching about 3" long. Any Idean when they will start breeding??? Which fish are you going to be selling???? The comps are just these: http://www.cichlid-forum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1581
  8. This maybe a way to get rid of those loaches: http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...?showtopic=2573

  10. Mine are quite young right now, about 1.5 - 2" long. The buescheri always sem to be chaseing them!!!
  11. Will the above disrupt breeding in N. buescheri??? OR Will the above disrupt breeding more in tropheus??? I have 3 syno's and yet want to be able to breed both the above, just trying find the best home for the syno's with out they messing with other fishes breeding....
  12. What about otto cats and/or bristle nose pleco's????
  13. What do you want to protect the bottom from??? I have styro foam under all my tanks before having them on the plywood that lies on top of the metal stands that I have. What type of stand do you have???

  15. I buy my freeze dried cyclop-eeze from Gold's about $35-40 dollars for 100 grams.
  16. In that case, there is a high probability that the two will inter-breed. The females do look very similar.....
  17. Any pics of the babies AND parents???
  18. No worries on the kribs and haps cross breeding!!!!!
  19. They XP3's are VERY good filters and are VERY quite. I think long run, the sump would be a better bet... Actually, come to think of it, you could pick up 3 XP3's from Gold's for like $179.00 a piece....Pisces and paetland have the same sometimes!!!
  20. I have nothing against EHEIM's, but bang for the buck on 135 gallon tank, I still think a sump is the way to go. If money is no object, which it usually is, I would go for a couple of ehiem's
  21. You can easily hide it under the tank within the cabinetry, they are VERY efficient and quite quiet
  22. Try Gold's....I think he has a large gallon or so behind his till that he may sell you some of in bulk!!!!! Isn't that "ick" cure made with Methylene Blue?????
  23. They should be fine without the meds. I'd start hatching some brineshrimp ASAP and start feeding them soon. Is the Pleco gone???
