  1. I just came down from my place and to my horror my beautiful male iceberg fryeri was lying on the bottom stone dead. I tested my water everything is normal all other fish are just fine. No sigh's of any aggression on the body, he was fine at 6:00 a.m. this morning just swimming as per normal. I can't tell you how I feel about this, he was my favorite fish, I have had him for over 2 yrs, and I babied him I feel so bad. Tom. R.I.P
  2. Weird glitch I guess. Thanks for your help Harold. Tom.

  4. Hi Darcy remember this guy he was only 3/4" when I pick him up from you at Rob's get together. Though you might like to see how he is doing. Oh by the way all females are just fine too. Tom.

  6. Woo  Nothing like jumping in with both feet. A very big :welcome: to both you and Tammy. And Tammy congrats on you quitting smoking not an easy thing to do, now if I could just get my wife to quit but that could be dangerous to my health :chair: Tom
  7. My Queen Arabesque won't eat anything else It is all I feed my plec's and they love it. Tom
  8. I have also found this to be true. With my f1's I picked up from Kyle I had in a 33gal grow out with a white silica-sand substrate white texas rocks and the fish took on a light yellow, and although the black was evident on the fins I did not realize just how much it darkened until I move all of them into the 90 gal with a darker moon sand substrate and slate rock, the fish became a much more brilliant yellow and the black makings became much more predominate in a very short period of time, I know diet did not play a part in this change because these fish have been fed on only N.L.S. Tom

  14. I totally agree what an amazing looking fish Regardless of the background. very nice picture Albert was it one of those you stood for hours or were you lucky enough to snap it right away.
  15. Sorry my mistake Rahim, the last picture of the calvus look's just like my wild male I have left from the batch from Tanks-a-lot. and was looking to replace the 2 ladies I lost. Very nice fish bet they cost you a steep price. Keep me in mind if they spawn. Tom.
  16. Nice shots, are the white calvus f0 and are they from Golds, Dennis told me he was about to bring in some whites this week sometime. Very nice set-up Rahim. Can't wait for my cyps to grow out a little more love the color. Tom.
  17. I am now the proud owner of 15 juvie cyps Utinta's I believe. Never had these fish before, they are only approx 1" I have then alone in a 33 to grow out a little. They are showing some color so I am sure I have a male or two. Pic taken just after they hit the tank. Tom.
  18. What would you suggest would be good tank mates to go with cyps. I will be growing out about 15 that will eventually be going into a 90 tang only tank. Thanks Tom.
  19. I don't blame you at all Neil, congrats to Ellie on some beautiful fish. I am so tempted to get into S.A and that geophagus has me very interested spectacular fish. Tom
  20. Very nice indeed those clown loaches look incredibly healthy Nice fish [if you ever need to move the loaches, give me first shot please ] The Koi Angelfish looks to have taken to your tank like he/ she was born there. Tom
  21. Hi Sammy Yes that is a wild white male calvus, he is quite big, and these guys are in a 187 gal lots of room, so I have had no aggression at all. I had a trio of these he had two lovely ladies but became quite aggressive and killed off one so I had to move him from the 90 to the 185 so the remaining female could grow a little more before I put the male back in the 90. But I lost her also don’t have any reason, she was fine when I went to bed and gone the next morning. So anyone have a couple of lonely female white calvus let me know. Tom.
  22. I am almost sure I have a male and a female, at least that is what Christian thinks. Tom
