I've recently used some to glue pieces back onto my overflow after small fish kept tumbling down into my sump and it seemed ok but i recently covered it over with silicone just in case. But I didn't experience anything unusual if that helps..

I've never seen them before but I have heard about how they are dye injected. try googling them or if you can speak to the people in the store however I wouldn't expect them to know or exactly tell the truth. But that's just my opinion

Yup that's them alright.... Long gone are the days when they were 10 bucks at PJ's. I haven't had them in years, voracious eaters for sure. Almost makes me want one again.. Nice Pics !!

Well I think I'd buy one just to say I got one. Besides it's always a good excuse to buy larger and larger tanks aside from the 300 i already own... So if you can do it then i say go for it. not much different than arowanas really.
