  1. Jeebes, did you take those yourself?
  2. Hi Harold, I've read through this whole thread and as a Colombian, could you please please stop referring to Colombia as Columbia? Please? Also any brightly colored Metriaclima's of any sort or similarly compatible colorful males available? I'd do Peacocks but I heard/read that they aren't compatible long term. Thanks Harold.
  3. Ok, I'll share my Dragonfly having lunch on the fly. Pun intended.
  4. That would look amazing!! I was thinking white slate black sand but the same idea. How many would the resident expert African Cichlid members on the site recommend for a healthy stable community in a well established 90 gal tank with dual Eheim filters? I need a change from what I currently have and want to do this right. Thanks.
  5. Do you sell these at your store? If so do you ship?
  6. Nice shots, thanks for sharing.
  7. Beautiful shots. I saw these on MFK as well. You have some talent that's for sure.
  8. 600 gal tank at Big Al's? In Edmonton? How much? Anyone know? What are the dimensions? :well:
  9. I've noticed that you keep asking about rather unusual harder to get fish. Relative to where you live of course. What is the biggest city that is the closest to where you live? This will help people tell you where to get certain fish. :well:
  10. Hey Street, I don't know what your name is over there. I joined, and my name is the same there as here. Drop me a line.
  11. Am I seeing triple or what? :smokey:
  12. O.K. Here's some shots of my guy that I got from Kyle. I finally put the tank I got from Irricana in my house. Wife said hell no when she saw the stand that came with it so It took my a couple of months to build a new one that would make the cut. Well he's maybe 8'' now and happy as a clam. Enjoy. Oh nevermind. I can't seem to re-size the pictures, and the available file size is avatar sized so maybe next time.
  13. If you don't mind me asking rudy, how much? I don't want to pry, I just want to buy. I think that Dragonfish Canada is the import business that Street Cypher from Aquatic Predators started. I talked to him on several occasions and he was a pretty good guy. Also rudy if you don't mind, can I look you up next time I'm in C town? I think Kyle can vouch for me. I'm just dying to see your legendary Rays.
  14. That's today!!! Please post some pictures ASAP. Is your Arowana also coming from Pang Long?
  15. I can't believe that I just slogged through 25 pages of that goo. Their cross language slang and abbreviations are so hard to understand meaning that it made for a brain drain. I must have been bored. At least now I can go to sleep. :boxed:
  16. That's too funny. I also have one and I also got mine from Kyle. I haven't taken any pictures of him though, but his is 7'' from nose to the base of his tail. Mines in a 270gal so he will have plenty of room for life. I hope to add one of kyles Motoro pups in with him soon. :smokey: :smokey:
  17. Are you sure? I've got pretty large wood. Where did you get it? And if you don't mind, how much?
  18. There are certain kinds of fish that just cannot handle most types of medication. Pretty much every fish can handle some salt and a temperature increase to increase their metabolisim.
  19. It's been a few days and there have been no deaths and the parrot fish that was covered from head to fin is now okay he looks okay and everyone is swimming around. I'am still adding salt. Hmmmmmmmmmm........The last fish I added was two bubble gum parrot fish. Do you think they could have been the problem? Whenever something out of the ordinary happens in your tank, it's always helpful to work backwards from the last thing that you did in the tank. Kind of like retraceing your steps when you loose your keys. That way you can zero in on what the culprit may be. Many many local fish stores do not quarentine their new livestock additions when they get them in like say Big Al's does. So quite often you get a sick fish that hasn't started to show sings of any illness. The more disinterested the employee working at the store seems, the more cautious I'd be about buying anything there. Cheap or not, sometimes its just not worth the risk.
  20. Not that we don't trust him or believe him. We just love pics of big setups. Not to mention the big fish that he said he has. Love those too.
  21. I bought them as fresh..( i might raise the salinity levels ( but I doubt it)))the species grows in both types ... when raised in fresh water, they dont grow as fast or as big..... They will get huge but so will my parron sharks, arrowanas, redtail cat, marble, cat, tiger shovelnose cat!!!! not to mention all the bass !!!!!! hampala barbs..!!!! and tinfolis!!! So you have a swimming pool lined up for them? What are you going to use for filtration? :well: -roll-
  22. No, it was C Pulchra. Also refered to as C Burma because its from Northern Myanmar, aka Burma. I saw them at Big Al's in Edmonton and did some research. They are relatively new to the hobby, and are a dwarf species that need slightly cooler water, and max out around 8 to 10 inches. Very colorful and moderately active.
  23. Do you know about these fish? I have heard stories on other forums where local fishermen have seen these hunt and kill African Crocs as a pack. They get over 4 feet in the wild and are excellent hunters. 32 to 34 razor sharp 4 to 6 inch teeth when fully grown. Yikes! This is truly the fresh water equivalent of a Great White. Can I intrest you in Freekin sharks with Freekin lazer beams attached to their heads? :smokey:
