  4. Nice setup, probably won't be too long before you have the MTS syndrome.
  5. Googled your question came up with at lest 30 gallons, so I would think 60 should be ok.
  6. The cichlids I just leave in the tank they tend to disappear with the exception of one or two (currently have 3 little guys swimming around) I also have an Albino Snow White Socolofin Cichlid holding.

  15. :welcome: to AA and Canada. Where did you move from?
  16. I would not change it if it stays around there. Once you start playing around with ph it will raise, drop and you will forever be trying to adjust it. The fish will acclimatize to your ph.
  17. Lizard on the logo it's a Zoo Med Aquatic Natural Mopani Wood. Yup, just let it soak, every couple of days flip it over to let any air traped in it escape.
  18. Is it GEOsystem Natural Aquascape Mopani Wood? If it is, it should sink. They recommend it be soaked for a couple of day. I purchased one of these, looks fantastic, but I soaked it for two months!!!!!!! and it still was changing the colour of the water so it is now in storage with all the other stupid fish stuff I have purchaed.

You might try an office supply store (Office Depot., Staples) they often have rolls of cork to make your own cork boards.
  20. If you leave a bucket of tap water out over night by the morning a large percent of the chlorine in the water will have evaporate off (you can add an air stone to the bucket to speed up this process). When you add prime or other dechlorinators it will neutralize the chlorine in a very short time. On the other hand if your tap water is treated with chloramine it does not evaporate as readily. So to answer your question once you have treated your tap water with a declorinator you can add it to you tank you do not have to let is sit overnight. Adding the declorinator to your tank then adding the tap water is done by pleanty of people with out any problems. I personaly add it to the water before I add the water to the tank, just so I know that I have added the right dosing.
  21. Very nice, spectacular. I wished I had the space for some thing like that.
  22. Test you tap water or what ever water you use for water changes. If it is less than the 8 in the betta tank do extra water changes and it will bring it down.
