  1. hehe, it keeps changing, because fish get moved some to another tank, added a couple gave a couple to lisa... so everything is changing in that tank...it looks way different then that picture now, that was when the dolphins and the front's were still in it, now it is just peacocks and mbuna's for the most part... Lana
  2. Thank you Frank! Oh I have a little 10 gal tank full of about 20 dolphins...from one of the females she spit them, I couldn't save the one's that still had yoke attached to them, but so far all the others are doing fantastic and slowly getting their color... I boiled some egg's and feed them the yoke and I alternate it with spirulina flakes and crushed NLS, trying to ensure they get everything necessary for their diet. The girls are in a 20 gal tank, and settled in nicely... they all come swimming over to me soon as they see me now, looking for food, I wake them up every morning and if they are real sleepy I don't feed them but if I sleep in and they didn't then I will feed them a bit in the morning...All girls made it here and as mentioned a few extra's...hehe... 5. Some good prices for sellers, some good prices for buyers, great people and a good time had by all!!! One set of OB's went for around 65.00 I bid it up to 65.00 then I stopped, I was bidding on the male for the most part he was beautiful!!! As always at the end or near the end of every auction the people all leave and the prices become the buyers gift... good fish selling for 10.00 and less... lots went for a loonie, right Quattara!!! I obtained some lemons for 9.00 so 4.50 each and they are beautiful! They were Bruce's and he is a wonderful person too. Then I obtained some daffadil's for 6.00 and they too are beautiful, not sure who brought them, but many thanks to whom ever brought them though... Lana

  10. The Parasite Clear did not seem to stress my fish, but I didn't put the full recommended dose either I only dosed for 100 gal's rather then the 120 gal. In my smaller tanks i dosed exactly as stated it was easy one tab and it was done, but because when I started with the med's I didn't have the small one's I just dosed to 100 gal. Lana
  11. I don't own discus and I know they can be sensitive, I think they would be the only one's I would really worry about... Lana
  12. I love the moorii, I have put two Electra's and some front's with mine and they school together like one big happy family I never see squabling at all, in fact when we added the two new dolphins and electra's they swam right in with the other fish and never looked back... my hap's are Happi! In my 55gal tank, I have a hines 57 mixture. I have some Electric Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Red Empress, Demasoni, Polit, Salousi, Electric Blue's, Pleco, and two petricola oh yeah and some malasyian snails.... so I have some nice color, the yellows are brillant, the cobalt blue's are a nice soft blue, the red empress male (think that is what he is)... is stunning in color, one demasoni is very vibrant the other is a little drab... Electric Blue's so far are just females so they are boring brown, the male polit is showing his color nicely and the female another boring brown... The largest fish in the tank is the Red Empress male... he is full grown the rest are still growing. The most agressive in the tank is the little demasoni, I think they need a mirror... someone forgot to tell them they are not big fish...hehe. Lana
  13. As you know I know nothing...haha But I treated mine the next day... figured I would rather have them parasite free then die of parasites... so far all mine are doing fine, don't appear stressed, eat wonderfully have good color and fins are down.. no rubbing on the sand which can be a sign of internal parasites. I have one more dose to give them then my dolphins, electra's and front's are done. I purchased the Jungle Parasite Clear the one for pond use, as the tab's are larger and do up to 50 gal, so I put two tab's in my 120 gal no fish seemed stress by it at all. Water is being changed out today and their last treatment will be today, Friday water will be changed out again and I will put carbon into the filters. I purchased the smaller package for my smaller tanks, each tab does 10gal... so far all seems well in my smaller tanks too. Lana
  14. I love the list of supplies and the instruction! Helps others who would love to become do-it-youselfer's. I am not a do-it-yourself type person, I call my husband and get him to do it...LMAO oh that is part of being married right guys.... Oh and his to-do list keeps growing...ummmm I don't think Boom was complaining just concerned about an application he thought was being done. It is nice to have others watch out for you... Lana
  15. When I purchased the RO/DI unit, Duty/Brokerage and GST was included in the shipping price. So what I paid should be all I have to pay. I deal a lot with items from the US, they even charge GST/Duty etc on Horse semen, so it is no surprise that I will be paying out the nose to our beloved government. Lana
  16. I just purchased myself an RO system from e-bay, it is a six stage, once I paid the conversion to CDN and the shipping it was 229.00 so still an awesome deal. I was almost hoping he was from Canada I could saved on the conversion and the shipping, well some of the shipping... Mine is supposed to be here I think on Friday... they shipped it Friday I think is when it was shipped unless I am thinking of the holey rock... dang I don't remember now... i think I obtained my system from Filter Direct... This is their store, http://stores.ebay.ca/Filter-Direct-store The system was 152.00 with conversion it was closer to 165.00 plus 55 (US) in freight total conversion price was 229.00ish. Here is the description of what I am getting: Model: RO 6100+DI Dual outputs, 6-stage 110 gal/day Reverse Osmosis Water System+DI filter (for drinking and aquarium use, include pressure tank and faucet)+ Bonus Pressure Gauge Lana

  19. Patrick, As always I love your photos! Your male has wonderful coloration! Lana
  20. I have some Hap's with my front's and they all school together. The Haps are the leaders and come to eat normally first and the front's follow. I have sand as a substrate and have a few rocks from the field, currently one piece of holey rock, which was broke so ensentially I have two pieces , I am waiting for my next piece to arrive and it will go into that tank as well. Right now mine are in a 120gal, due to not being able to find a decent priced 125gal, which worked out okay for me as a 125gal would not of fit into my car. The haps i have with them right now are the Blue Dolphin and the Electra. They all get along great, no pushing each other around, nothing... they follow each other as if they are the same fish... so I highly recommend Hap's as their tank mate. Lana
  21. Your tank is beautiful and I am positive what ever Betta you go with they will be so happy! It is or can be hard to find the perfect Betta. I know when I went to PJ's there was this one it was stunning, I wanted it so bad but thought I better wait, well shoot I went back and someone else purchased it, they just obtained a shipment and wouldn't sell any, and there was a nice teal one in the mix... So we obtained a black bodied teal fin splended and my son obtained a blackish/rust colored bodied with red fins crown tail, I took pictures of him tonight but they are kind of blurry... Lana
