I dunno if its because I'm getting to be a big old softy as I get older but those boxes made me cry, I'm laughing at the fact that I cried since it was a. a while ago that it happened to your friend and b. isn't even my dog. But either way I cried. I want to say that again you did an amazing job.

I love how he just sat there like that and let me take pictures! Enjoy!

    Donald

I have been doing some test with all my bettas to see what is best for them. I use the air stone in two tanks and in my other I don't. I only use the heater in one tank (donald's) because the rooms too cold but I'm going to have it in tropical not just room temp. I have found that even though they can live with out the stones the two that have them seem to be more active. I think this is because they don't have to always be rush for air and can breath like normal fish in a air filled tank, the two with still go up for air but only half as much as my other one.
  8. Very interesting, I have some questions. You had an algae bloom on the plants? and when you plucked and thinned them out was there any plants that you tossed due to to much algae? How much do you think a plant can be plucked before you'd toss it? Thanks I just have some Algae on some of my 20 gallon tank's plants and I dunno what to do with it. By the way I like the vals you have VERY cute!

    Donald

LOL I guess if I had taken a shot of the top of it you might be able to tell better. UPDATE: Donald now has a mini elite heater due to my bedroom being the coldest place in canada LOL he was hardly moving so I bought one today. Set on low I'm going to slowly get the temp to tropical.

Thanks, Looking back at all these older pictures of when I first got him, he sure has grown up.
  14. I noticed that no one has addressed your comment on salt and your plants. Right now you don't need to use salt, But once you tank gets stable and has run the cycle threw, you can add some salt if you wish. Unless your plants are super crazy plants, which I personally have never heard about a plant that would die off with a little salt, I would advise you that putting salt in to help your fish should not hurt your plants. If I'm wrong and there are plants out there that you have that are no salt at all plants I'm sure someone will tell me. And hey Lisa.... Seachem is just awesome no matter what it is :P *laughs*

  21. I have 4 gouramis in my 20 gallon and yes they all get along. I have 2 dwarf honey, 1 dwarf powder blue and 1 opaline. I know that my 2 dwarf honey will get no bigger then about 2 inch. But how big will the other two get. I've read that they will get 3 inches on one site and 5 on another. So here I am asking you... on average what size am I looking at? Thanks.
  22. I have three, One is in a 2 gallon tank with Java Fern and an air stone. Second one is in a 1 gallon (seems like 1.5 if you ask me) corner tank with again Java Fern No air stone though. Third one is my husbands and its in one of those marina tanks.. its 1/2 gallon. I do water changes once a week for the 1 gallon and 1/2 gallon. And every two weeks for my 2 gallon, these are all 100% water chages and I rise off the ferns, Gotta love those hardy little devils!
  23. Oh yah sure! I keep it next to my solid gold toilet HAHAHAHAHAHA Thats again why we are waiting 3 to 4 years.. By then I will have some saved up.
