I married into a high profile family run zoo in 2005. My family's business is the largest independently funded zoo in Canada. As such, we have attracted the attention of Animal Rights groups worldwide who endeavour to set a precedence by petitioning our closure. This of course is a constant stress we have learned to deal with.

Because of the nature of our business I (and my family) have the opportunity to meet some of the most interesting and wonderful people in the world. With love for animals as the common link, we have made life long friends from many of the visitors who come to us attracted by the allure of animals.

I have two lovely children who love animals as much as I do. My first obligations are to them, and secondly I help out with various aspects of zoo operation. Some animal care responsibilities fall on me, but mostly I embrace the administrational duties of the zoo.

I have only recently taken an acute interest in fish. I joined AA to share my fish and increase my knowledge of the aquarium hobby. I have great aspirations of bigger and bigger aquariums and hope one day to incorporate a large 1000G show aquarium as part of our zoo exhibits.
