Ya i was just wondering If I was going to Start a discus tank... What is the size of tank needed. plus if there was a mini sized one or one that is smaller then the rest. Plus I heard they are alot of work.. it that true? Im a cichlid guy so, im not sure, but the colors are crazy on discus, plus do they need live plants in there? and Brackish water?

So what is the normal size for a discus tank then, or what are the smallest discus out there?

So ... in one of my 10 gallon tanks that I have been raising fry in, until I can move them into my grow out tank, I noticed something. It looked like little worms crawling on the glass. Now i think it might be snails, but im not sure. They are like 1/16 inch (if that) and come out at night. They move on the glass and dont float in the water. Now the reason I thik they might be snails is because i have just added a little bit of plants in there to keep levels better, and look nicer also give a place for the fry to hide. it was a couple of days after that I noticed the wormie things. I have tried to take pics of these but they are TOO small. I do have a couple snails in there for sure, Im not really sure what kind, they just kinda came with the plants. So if this a huge problem? or just alot of fish food in the future?

You can force her to spit into a breeding trap, they are like $8.oo at petland or something like that. that way you can crush up fish food, and they will have a better chance until you can move them into another tank.

I have 4 trout, in a 115 gallon tank. Now I want these guy to breed, do you have any types on how I can speed up the process, or anything I can add or take away to make them breed? Water Temp is about 78 degrees, and sand bottom, with a little bit of driftwood in the centre and some rock cave on the far right. there is a couple cats (fancy fins I think there called) and a Water melon Pleco... I have both a Aqua clear, 70 and a Fluval 404 on the tank for filtering, and a powerhead on the empty side moving the water around..... The fish are more active at night then during the day, and we have them in our dinning room, and are amazing the just sit and watch. I just think watch a big fish like this mate would be icing on the cake.

Lets Say you breed convict, and feed the fry to them, when they grow out a little? Would that would, or how much would they eat ?

rectic are teacup rays right? How big of a tank do they need? And how about the other 2?

And I read that you are putting them into a 500 gallon tank? How bigg of a tank do you need for Rays? and How many can you house together?

Do you have to worry about over feeding rays?

How Do you post more pictures? I have noticed some people have tons of photos on there page, and the photos seem high quality, but have to compress my photos so much just to get them on here, plus I only have 1 mb of space.

I will thanks.... I have a another bigger OB male, in the same tank, which in fact is a nicer looking OB, but the smaller one was the boss, I was wondering if the other finally bellied up to him and took him out, or if the pleco maybe attacked him. What should I be looking for with stress???

What are the smallest ray? Im interested in Rays as well, im a cichlid guy right now, but the whole ray thing seems interesting.

My Ammonia was between 0-0.25 ppm, My Nitrite between 0-0.25 ppm, my Nitrate 0-5.0 ppm, and Ph about 7.2?
