what does the sick discus' poo look like. is it white and stringy? I dont think mela fix will work for you. Here the meds I have been told to use by Wayne Ng: - SALT (general cure) - metro mixed with Kanaplex (for treating bloat and other internal parasite) - levamisol (deworming) -

ideally discus need to be in groups of 6 or more. is the sick discus eating? if not, i'd start treating the tank with Metro to start and see if he gets better over the next 4-5 days. Has he been acting this way since you got him? he may have been sick prior to you purchasing him.

I prefer to stick with BN plecos, they dont seem to bother any fish and love to tackle algae. But most plecos should be fine with Discus...just watch you temperture (84F) works for all

Plecos and Cory Cats should do fine in a Discus tank.
