I ordered eight, 6.5oz cans on line.....I also orderd pails of NLS so I had to make the order over $200.00 to get free shipping.....the cans are brand new,still sealed, are about 6 inches high(6.5oz or 184grams), they are Omega one super veggie small floating pellets, made with fresh kelp and spirulina algae, I am willing to sell a few cans for cheap since I have so many.... p.m. me if your interested....I live in the west end.........

Thats the first time I have heard that someone is not happy with NLS......I have done allot of reasearch on cichlid foods and NLS is in the top two......They have many sizes of sinking and floating types....... I have many large and small cichlids in my 750 gallon tank and feed 4 different sizes of NLS sinkers and floaters..... I def. overfeed, but after the feeding the fish spend hours digging in the gravel to find every last piece...... I only do a gravel vac. once every 6 months due to the size of the tank.......the last time I did a vac. was yesterday and I was amazed how clean the gravel was......I do have a very large pond canister filter and a sump on my tank so this helps..... Do you have adaquate filtration???? No offense, just asking.....

Thanks everyone for all the great ideas!!!! I looked up Big Al's online and found a marineland slime profile fixture but only comes in sizes up to 5 ft....there is also led lighting fixtures but from the reviews I read, people say it makes there fish look yellowish and washes the reds away........that's why I was thinking of staying with T5's........ I think for my 6ft tank I will go with two 3ft fixtures..........when I checked out the prices for some of the salt water tank lights......WOW!!! up to $10,000 for one fixture....that's crazy!!!!.....thanks for now.....

Hi there...I have two 150gal tanks (5 feet long) & one 220gal tank (6 feet long) & am looking for some T5 lighting for them... any suggestions???

"Neil Wilson"...!!!!!!....all the way!!!!!!this guy has built tanks for 30 years and I have three large tanks from him.....superb... I wanted the lids cut shorter so he came over and cut the lids at no extra charge......you won't find better!!!!!

Hey Jonah, it took them a while to settle in but now they are doing great......I separated the smaller ones from the larger ones.. (half of them in a 15gal and the other half in a 20gal)....with a couple of dithers.......lots of caves.....at first I noticed allot of left over food so I cleaned the gravel and sponge filter allot......now the filters are very clean and the blue's are out and about!!!!!! I still keep up on cleaning!!! I have the other parents in my large tank with Bifaciatus and devils(I want to put some size on them) and the tank is so big for these sized fish(all between 3 to 5 inches ) that they are eating allot and have fit right in.....I will move them to their own 50gal tank later... Thanks!!!!!!

Hi everyone.......Like I said I am from Edmonton...I am into Centrals & South American cichlids..... I have some very large tanks, some large tanks and some small tanks...LOL I have about a dozen different types of species right now and only need a few more to finish my wish list...for now.... I have bought cichlids from reputable dealers in Canada and the USA... Some of which are: Canada....Spencer Jack, Oliver Lucas... USA......Jeff Rapps, Don Conkel, and a couple of others..... The fish I have are top quality and once my breeding pairs form, I will be selling off the rest... I am hoping to meet others on this forum that are interested in these type of fish so we can trade and compare experiences......don't be shy if you have any questions... now if I only knew how to post pic's here.....LOL... it says upload skipped(this file was too big to upload)......I'll try later......

Hello......I have 4 males and a couple of females .....very nice cichlids that I got from T.U.I.C (Jeff Rapps) in the USA.......about 4 months ago.... I am rearranging my stock and am making room so they have to go ........ They are not as mean as a Midas and look a little different....very nice and personable fish.... p.m.-me if you want to know more.....

large aggressive cichlids that love to dig up the gravel........some are obnivores ....eat meat and veggies... but the cichlids are not full grown.....
