I have seed tanks that way before and the tank is vary planted. The sand had a nasty smell so I rinsed it the drift wood has been in the tank scins last may. But it dryer out

I do not think that is it at all. I am vary selective about my lfs I am thinking it is potassium or iron that got them. The tank was broke down for about 3 weeks I rinced all the sand before it went back in to the tank. Maybe something on the drift wood. I am going to. Brake it down and replace substight. The filter was left up and running on my 75 to not lose the cycle.

Girl friend got home at 6 to 2 dead fish. I am out of town. Had girl friend shut down co2. Low bps 1 ½. And has moved over the last 2 angles. To my 75. 10 coys are still in tank and doing fine. I dosesed full line seachem certs last nigh. Comp. Potassium iron trace and excell after water change. To recommended. Dose iron an potassium. 5 ML each. Any ideas. Tank is 27 gal planted

So i was seting up a ehime auto feeder on my 27 gallon tank yesterday. And the slide came all the way opin. needles to say there is Alot of small NLS pelits all over my tank. i cant suck them out i have black sand in my tank. and the food stays in the tank and the sand came out. i put in 12 amano shirmp and 6 corrys there was /is 6 white clouds in the tank to hold the cycle till i decide whats going in the tank, any ideas on what i can do about the extra food.

i use florite in my tanks it is a bit of a mess when you first use it alot of dust

you could nuke your 100 gallon with the potassium stuff that turns your water purple when just do a water change or 3 the you would be good to go as well

A test most of us over look would be phosphate. For freesh water. API one works best. If you have phosphates in your tank above what your tap water dose. Do a water. Change. Phosphate is basically waste in the tank. And something algens require to grow. Get rid of the. Big 3 tests we all get sold. And happy. Fish keeping. Btw I would drink the water out of my tanks if the price is right
