  1. Have you shown her Patrick's vics? You may be able to set up a nice group and she'll also get colors that way.
  2. Don't do it . In my experience , they don't last long in the CT with tetras or cichlids of any type.

    Hello!

:welcome: to AA. There are salties here .
  6. :welcome: to AA You'll find Canada cold some months but it's a dry cold (you'll hear that a lot).
  7. You need to cut out the light . Complete darkness for 3 days will starve it out . You may need to repeat the process but this is the only natural way . I would feed my fish and then cover the tank with a blanket . To check on it , peek at night with a flashlight .
  8. They do have 2 different types, the clear and the re-enforced. I agree that the larger diameter clear folded under some twisting but the re-enforced of the same larger size stands up well .
  9. Being a new member , the mods may not have set up authorization for you yet.
  10. It's a deep tank? I think your O2 is too low and your nitrates may be rising . I suspect if you do an 80% water change you'll see great improvement , or you can add a water pump near the bottom increasing the flow from the bottom to the top . In my experience with the deep tanks, you can have the surface moving like rapids but the bottom is suffocating.
  11. Depends on the cichlids, I suspect the danios's fins will get torn a bit. You'll need more hiding places I think . Nice tank .
  12. Once you've scored and snapped the glass, remember to sand the edges a bit, they will be extremely sharp.
  13. from Ken? No , a couple from Spencer though. For now they're still in the 72. They'll soon be in separate tanks . For now they are happy.
  14. Not really , he tolerates everyone one else in the tank to within 6" of the brood , then he just chases them off . No fights or injuries. He's been great.
  15. Babies, lots of'em too . I'm sorry it's not too clear but papa wasn't letting camera crews in .
  16. LOL I see that . Going to the auction ? Might be a good time to meet.
  17. In your other video , the aggressive one in the jar? http://s475.photobucket.com/albums/rr111/B...rent=Bettas.flv How much are you selling your boys and girls for?
  18. LOL yup , kind apropos. :welcome: to AA Sue
  19. The clause came into being when people who responded first to an ad felt they had the right to be the purchaser . However it is only fair and right that the seller can make up their own minds as to who to sell to. Having said that , let it be clear, if you promise something to someone , keep your promise.
  20. They can be quite aggressive . Could be they are stressed?
  21. Very nice! I'd love to buy some . How much?
  22. The canister filter is worth good bucks, what size? The UG filter is not the best filtration system because it needs maintenance before it gets bad for the tank . This means cleaning it out a couple times a year, taking the tank apart. As for the tank itself, it'll likely need to be re-sealed after all those years. It sounds pricey to me . I'm thinking , offer him in the ball park of $300 350. . This is my opinion though .For me , that's still high.
