so long as your temp doesn't bounce all over, i would add the danios. most danios i've had have been extremely hardy fishes. i like to use them for tank cycling and they typically wind up as a nice snack down the road.

cool stuff!! i've been contemplating building some 'lightshows' for my tanks. great pics and info

^^ eggcrate divider is gonna have to be mojo~strength. my knockoff version was obliderated by a startled 5" festae one body length away. blammo

mmm no experience with dovii but had a female GT lay a batch of eggs with only a juvie female convict in the tank. all eggs eaten in ~3 days, never happened again.

this behavior is why i prefer gravel over playsand with new worlds. colorful!
-
i just went and gave my 2217s hugs. aaahhhhh

from the zit like description you give, i've seen similar pimples once or twice on convicts. would always clear up ~48 hours later. i figured it to be physical aftermath after scrapping/chasing. hasn't led to worse conditions in my experience.

Lasers: not just for driviing your cat nuts
skinless replied to sharuq1's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
mm laser pointers. 15$ at the pet shop and only like 4$ at the dollar store. cept the dollar store ones can be bunk and work like trash for 15 minutes. LP used to drive the convicts crazy. i would rush the egg pile with the beam and the cons would go nutso. like my cat lol. -
i know i am raising one old thread but i founf another source that says 8" TL for RIP. the book is pocketpro cichlids (advertised in TFH for months now) with classic pbass pic on the cover. i say RIP destroys that max size. he is huger!!!!! oh yeah, the book as a guide has excellent photos.
