  1. Thanks. Eagle Butte Road sound familiar.. Is it gravel? I was approaching Cypress Hills from the West and spent about a half hour or more travelling on some gravel roads. This was on one of those roads. The map I had showed just one intersection and no road names. Of course in reality I went through 3 or 4 intersections before I made it back onto a highway
  2. I decided to post some of the pictures I took this summer while in Southern AB. I tried to use the opportunity to get back into photography a little more. Near Drumheller: Waterton National Park: On my way to Cypress National Park I got a little lost. My map was to say the least, incomplete. However getting lost is not so bad when you happen across such a nice scene. In Cypress National Park: Now I know this picture is not that good, but heh, it's a Bear!! This was in Kananaskis Country. Tried a few shots with the Macro lense. This one came out pretty well. Hope you liked the photos Nelson
  3. Great colours on that Ric! Super catch.
  4. Nice shots, thanks for sharing
  5. Thanks for the info Ace! You did a great job capturing those stars.
  6. Very nice photos! What were your settings for the photo with the stars (Aperture,Shutter,ISO)? I've tried to capture star shots in the past with very limited success. The last two photos are my favorites of the bunch. Nelson

    Hello

Welcome Laurier! That's one crazy looking baby you have in your Avatar. I like it
  8. That'll work if you have very bright tank lights and the fish are very calm. Otherwise you may have better luck with the flash on.
  9. Glad to hear you've got your fish now. If you can you'll have to share some pictures
  10. I do weekly 50% water changes (sometimes closer to 60%) in most of my tanks, including my Malawi tank. Don't add any salt, just some Prime as I put in the new water. I have not had any problems with these large water changes.
  11. Sounds like a plan! It may not be for awhile though, my SW tank is still fairly new and I'm waiting for the corals to fill in. Still a little sparse at the moment.
  12. I took some more pictures of my Zoanthids yesterday. Didn't get any pictures of my metallic pink ones that did them justice. Hopefully soon... in the meantime here are some of my other zoos: Kind of bland in terms of colour, but I like the look of these guys: Nice orange colour. These guys are growing very well too. Nelson
  13. I like those pink Zoos Sammy, they look very nice! Really like the colours of the Ric as well. I also took some pics of my Zoos tonight, I'll try and post them tommorow.
  14. Congrats, they do look like quite the monsters! The Haps in my tank would probably be considered feeder fish for those guys

    Hello!

Welcome to the forum and the hobby. Just three tanks so far... You'll have more soon, trust me
  16. Welcome to the forum
  17. Leopoldi Rays. Great catch Rudy!! Good luck with them.
  18. Looks great, some nice corals in there! Very clean.
  19. I don't really remember, it was a long time ago, but they had a few interesting SW fish. A cowfish and a Horseshoe Crab. For FW, aside from the standard, they had a bunch of killies and some interesting catfish. Looking through some of the photos I did find an unusual looking catfish. Awful photo, but I think it's a Hoplo Littorale. Took a photo of the nametag
  20. Agree with Tanker, they'll eat just about anything. Mine also gnaws on driftwood. Looks a little strange with all the "teeth" marks on it. It's also taken to trying to eat the fake pink plastic plant of all things I don't think they are too picky. For actual food I feed mostly NLS wafers.
  21. Here's a great website. Lots of good information. www.bluecrayfish.com
  22. Amazing fish as always Gina! Thanks for sharing.
