Dear Rose Sorry about George .I know very little about catfish but from reading this thread I think if you try again with a redtailed cat don't give it that much variety of fine food I have found that with new fish they may act happy but they are still stressed out and a big change in diet stresses them out even more .Even if they gobble it up.I don't know if this cat was wild caught or farm raised but I believe stress may have been a problem here.I know with with some cichlids shipping+new diet =systamatic bacterial infection Any how I hope you try again somtimes you can do everything right and still things will go wrong

Removed the divider this morning (6.00am) went to work came home at 4.00pm.They look like they where hit with birdshot but they seem to be getting along somewhat now.

I don't have an eggcrate divider I diy'ed a greenhouse nursery plant tray for a divider but the eggs are mostly turning white anyhow just as well I didn't have a fry tank to put them in.thanks

Hybrids are a big deal in the hobby not the fish themselves but the breeders who produce them either on purpose or accident and pass them off as purebred.If someone wants a particular kind of fish they should get exactly what they pay for.

My flowerhorns spawned through a divider 2 days ago if the eggs hatch can I leave the male in his side of the tank or should he be removed ? Thanks
