If people tap on the glass or make sudden movements they would hit the glass so hard that they would float to the top as if they were dead, probably knocked out. Poor little guys. I had one over21" long and 2 12-13" ones and the bigone constantly broke 1/4" glass lids on my 108g tank and smashed in his face.
