Paul, Only suggestion i would have it have a chamber for filter floss, or padding. I know nobody uses it for salt, but I personally think if you have it, it will keep your water way clearer and if you toss it regularily the nitrate build up will be minimal. If you don't use the floss all the time it still wouldn't hurt to thow an egg crate baffle in there for the times you need it.
