FishBrain
So I have this offer to buy a 100G Corner tank with sump and was wondering what people thought of that much weight in the corner of a main floor? It has a 40G? sump under it, and is a pretty nice setup. BUT will the weight be to much? OH there is already a 72Bow in the same room across from where it would go. finaddict
lucky you.. is this tank going in a corner ? out side walls are very strong or in your living room? any support beams running under it??
FishBrain
Not sure about support beams as the basement ceiling is sealed. it would be going in the outside corners of the living room (both walls are outside walls) I am in awweee over it. only been running for 4 monthes give or take and fresh at that. I think I would have to make it salt

Albertan
That's an AquaGiant tank. I'd check the price of a new one before I committed to buy it. In fact, I'll check it for you when I am there tomorrow. Nice tank BTW.
seajays
Price is $1399.00 on the Aquagiant site. Edited March 15, 2007 by seajays
HOSStile
I heard when they built the houses in Dover they put in one joist every 4-5 feet. They figured the only extra water container a Dover home owner would have over and above the tub, the toilet, and the sink would be a 3 ring blow up kiddie pool in the backyard. They also figured that if it fell through the floor it belonged in the basement anyway. JK BTW nice tank.
FishBrain
Yep thats the one $1399. Man is it nice!! Its the money situation. Price seems right but I have a little bit of house stuff that needs done. #1-Windows!!!!! So I am trying to figure out how to do it.
blainetyson
If you go in with cash and are willing to negotiat (sp?), you can get a deal. Hubby went in, with cousin and father-in-law, and managed to get my tank for $300 less then the posted price. Chantell
FishBrain
Thanks but the offer I made to her was accepted. (little more than 300 off) Now I just need to start counting my pennies.
Vapor
Very nice Mathew. I would think it would be fine along two outside walls.
