CO2 bottle pressure

Hello: Could someone tell me about how many psi a FULL bottle of CO2 should be at. I had 2 bottles filled and they seem to have about 750 psi in them. I thought the tanks should be filled to about 1800 psi. I know they fill them by weight, not pressure, but I wonder if I only got half a bottle full. The tanks I have are small (2.5 pounds) and are just for backup when the big tank goes empty.

Mine, too, was at about 1200 lbs in a 25 lb tank. Now that doesn't mean that a 2.5 lb tank would fill to the same pressure.

My best advice would be to call a welding supply store to see what they say. They should know or know where to find out.

Thanks everyone... I could be my high pressure gauge that is not accurate. I will find out when I get my 20 lb bottle back from being filled at a different shop. There is no empty weight on the bottle, but the full bottles do weight about 6 lbs. From a rough weighing on a bathroom scale, I would say there is about 2.5 lbs in bottle. I was just surprised to see the pressure so low.
