JORG
Been scratching my head why 2 out of 51 Dimidiochromis compressicep fry were different--they grew much faster- behaved different-and looked different-finally figured it out it out Add one of these Limnotilapia dardenni (tang) and one of these (malawi) and you get 2 of this instead of this
Vallisneria
Interesting... I once found 2 P.electra(hap) x Lab. perlmutt(mbuna) crosses in my tank. But never had a tang/malawi hybrid. Are you going to grow them up and see what they look like?

I would normally use them as feeders but these are so different my curiosity is peaking
African_Fever
That's kind of crazy. I would've thought you'd've been at least a bit safer in not worrying about hybrids when combining the two lakes, but I guess that's wrong! Will be interesting to see how they develop, if you decide to let them go on.
bigfishal
Hey thats crazy! I wonder how those guys are going to look when they grow up. I breed Dimidiochromis compressicep myself and could never imagine them breeding with another spices of fish just wouldn't look right. Good luck on the future outcome might get some nice coloring! RDFISHGUY
Not really a big fan of hybrids but this is a very unique situation and I'm curious as to the end result. You should grow them out.
