webmoose
Hey just looking for some thoughts here. I have a single fish in a 10 gallon (a key hole cichlid) and I was think of doing the same sort of idea with a 25 gallon but I was thinking of a bigger fish. Any thoughts or suggestions about a single bigger fish for a 25 gallon? Cheers! Edited March 6, 2008 by webmoose
jvision
If you can find an adult angel or discus, that'd look great - especially w. a fully planted background!
Sam Chicklets
How about an angel or hrp?

jvision
A firemouth would be a good choice, too! Or, how about a Montezuma Swordtail

NatureNut
A dwarf puffer! They're the most charismatic fish I've ever owned. In a 25g planted you could play "Where's Puffer"
Pier Pressure
Won't a single fish get lonely? How about a pair?

earlyriser
Get a pair of salvini a.k.a. the yellow menace. They're beautiful and have attitude to spare.
Qattarra
I enjoy a pair of small cichlids , you'd have room to create a wonderful "world" for them. You could have home area, play area, take kids for a walk area. etc. Even though convicts aren't popular due to their ease of breeding , they are so fun to have and watch. They pair up with whoever they're with and are awesome parents. The Dorsengers I have are two pairs in a 25, and although they are physically small , they own every inch of that tank.
